How the Facebook Become a Social Network

When the Facebook, as it was originally known, launched in February 2004, Harvard students could upload a photo of themselves. By the summer of 2004, the Facebook had folks from more than 30 different universities and colleges as part of the Facebook. It also allowed folks to tag photos so that a picture could be associated with a specific person.
