My mum sings opera in her spare time, and she brought me up exposing me to all sorts of pieces of classical music. I love that humanity creeping into the instrumental parts. My latter day tastes probably sway towards newer composers like Musorgoski. And actually the first piece that you picked for me had a similar sense of fear and trepidation and foreboding that I used to find very exciting and classical as a toddler.
