Trust and Prejudice in Vietnam

This chapter discusses the issue of trust and prejudice towards a certain group of people in Vietnam, as well as the limitations of previous elections and the hindrance of a fair election by the Viet Cong. It explores the efforts to conduct an open election in a nation under fire and the challenges faced by American observers. The chapter also reflects on the negotiation between Ho Chi Man and the United States during the war, and the different views on reciprocity.
