I think Sasha's point is the 1.6 million is far more than his employees make and he needs to pay them more money. If Bezos divided his salary among them, each would receive a raise of one tenth of a penny per hour. Then I went on and suggested alternatively, because Amazon ships 600 million packages per year, if Sasha convinced them to charge an extra $2 per shipment, Amazon could give each of its employees a dollar an hour raise.
