The Effects of Toxoplasma on Cats
The highest risk of contracting toxiplasma from an infected cat is in the disposal of kitty litter. If we dispose of that kitty litter routinely, if we wash our hands after handling it, that will really cut down on the probability of transmission. But over all, i would say that the benefits that we derive from those small animals are worth the small risk.
