Giving potassium chloride will affect the tenacity just as much as sodium chloride. oral urea could be an option here for patients with no hepatic an cephalopathy at all but that's a little controversial. And this can cause more no shifts than you would typically think about. For example, 50 m cs of oral potassium will have the same effect as a hundred mls of three % saline.
