What Are You Really Thinking?
This is not a war mongering sermon at all. He actually says kind of almost nothing about the vikings, even though that's the ostensible threat. What he's really concerned about is what that threat is doing to english society and on all the different kinds of social bonds that people need. This is er, we know, recognizing the signs of the time, seeing just how bad things really are. A is just about reckoning with reality, about acknowledging, d admitting just howbad things are, and then asking, what shall we do about it?
