How Does TikTok Work?
When you think of the other social media apps, they typically work on a social graph basis. TikTok completely bypassed this and avoided the question of forming cross-directional relationships between people altogether. It's the quality of the content that matters, not your relationship with the person who created it. And when it comes to the actual content on TikTok, the videos that users make, the TikTok algorithm is very good at recognizing what is in a video. Like every other social network, TikTok's algorithm relies heavily on machine learning where an algorithm is trained on large amounts of input data.
