The Disruption of the DSM Project

The next edition of the DSM, which was the DSM-5, now turns out there was a pretty big gap between the DSM-4 and 5. So they basically waited until 2013 to release DSM-5. And I think that was a problem, especially as we were working on 5, a lot of the things in the text for DSM-5 were really out of date. We said, really, that's not acceptable. I think people rely on the DSM as a really good source of information. So we have an obligation to make sure it continues to be useful.
