Beta Blocker Toxicity Secondary to Renal Impairment

beta blockers in general are rapidly absorbed and generally have a peak absorption within about one to four hours so pretty soon after that ingestion they're going to get sick but again like James mentioned previously you do need to be pretty careful as there are some sustained release preparations out there. In these patients it will not take as much of a dose to cause problems or actually just their normal dose of beta blockers could potentially cause them problems if their other forms of failure are causing them issues.
