Tithing is a self-fulfilling prophecy though for the more wealthy, I would say. It's like you got to spend money to make money, right? That just checks out. There was always this big push to make sure you were giving X amount of your money to the church at all times. A church depends upon its congregation and there's nothing wrong with supporting that organization.
