Germany is the largest importer of russian gas and relies on it for more than a third of its gas supply. Most of that gas is used in the industrial sector, rather than being used to heat domestic homes. Germany has started to look at other ways to get its energy, including reactivating old coal power plants. The fate of three remaining nuclear power plants in germany are also under consideration.
