The Kinde Transport

Nine thousand jewish children from germany, mainly also chekeslevaci and austria came in to britain around the time of cristalmach. They will be forever grateful for the kinde transport programm that saw them come into this country. But can we remind ourselves why it's called the kinder transport? Why was it only for children? It wasn't because the threat was only for children against children. It was because britain refused to let in adults. And the policy decision was, we don't want jews here, really.
