We used to see trade as the path to democracy, we saw it as being the path to peace. That may be a little bit naive too, right? You look up to Russia and the German approach there. The Germans had a trade for it. Of course, that was shown to be hopelessly naive relating to the supply of natural gas from Russia,. which all fell to pieces when Russia invaded Ukraine. So, COVID, you mentioned COVID as being one issue that caused rethinking of the whole thing. Nationalism, a big deal. What about emerging environmental concerns? How has that contributed to backtracking on this whole idea of free trade? There's several reasons behind that.
