The Stone Mason's Yard

The Stone Masons Yard is believed to have been painted in 1725 before Joseph Smith started brokering deals for his work. Canaletto often stated that he painted outside, something that wasn't a common practice at this point. He also developed a fairly scientific approach to laying out his scenes with a ruler and a compass. The resulting works feel almost super real because of how perfected they are.
