Is It the Rats' Fault or the Fleas?
It's communicable between humans. It comes off of a flea initially and gets into some of these blood stream. And you don't want to be in close contact with another person who has plague. There is some debate about whether or not it can be spread by droplets, the jury is extremely out on that. But it's just sort of once it gets in, it's in. Most of the population of Europe, around 90%, lives in the countryside where whole villages at a time fall to the blight.
