Disney's Snow White
In the original story, Snow White's mother dies giving basically birth to her. In the Disney version she has a stepmother who tries to get rid of her. She eats an apple that is poisoned and then burns to death. The prince comes along and sees this comatose dead princess in the coffin. He says he wants to kiss it back to life.
