Do We Really Have Less Interest in Soft Red Development?
I do wonder whether it is getting rarer for kids and young people to get into understanding how things work. It's all progressed so far that the internal workings of it are largely irrelevant, unless you go out of your way to make them relevant. Do we really have fewer people interested now as a result of that? I don't know. i'd love to see data on it. Well, i only have anecdotal data from one of my children who's old enough to know about these sorts of things - he has no interest in soft red development coding or anything like that. He just wants to play games. No interest in how the computer fits together, like what the various components are.
