The New Statesman and the Alt-Right Media Space
I think that alt-left media space was ultimately good and healthy. I see this much more in America, is there is a whole hermetically sealed alt-right. It has this incredible ability to create narratives and memes. And the left could really do with developing a parallel of that. A much bigger, healthier, left-wing media ecosystem would definitely make things easier for left-wing politicians. We had an enormous expansion of the website from sort of 2013 onwards. You can sell it as a kind of a bundle and you support the product. So I think that the new statesman navigated that choppy period quite well.
