I Think It's Fundamental Economics, Basic Monetary Theory
Real interest rates, by which i mean the nominal interest rate minus some measure of underlying inflation, back to a level that's at least positive. So if you stop at 3 and a half %, in a world where inflation is running 4%, 5% or 6%. That means you're at a very significantly negative real rate of interest. And that's just really important, because you are not going to slow down the economy, cool and overheating economy by showing that economy, showing individual showing firms, a negative real rate Of Interest. I don't think its political pressure. Les i really think it's fundamental economics, basic monetary theory.
