Movies With X-Ratings in the 80s
After 1973, there were no X-rated films in the overall yearly box office top 10. The only film that could be considered to even be about sex to reach that commercial status was shampoo. A decade later, movies like Star Wars and Jaws were making more money than movies had ever made before. And it didn't seem like a coincidence that these same movies had virtually no interest in what their characters did in the bedroom.
