Marx's Model of the Social Productivity of Labor

Marx wasn't saying there would be material he was off, they might be. They could in fact be materially better off but the share of the value is going down and down and down. And here when he talks about, he talks about within the capitalist system, all methods for raising the social productivity of labor are put into effect at the cost of the individual worker. All means of the development of production under dialectical inversion so that they become means of domination and exploitation of the producers.
