The power of a right-wing capitalist opposition to neoliberal globalization became overwhelmingly evident with Trump and Brexit. Margaret Thatcher was a Eurosceptic from the beginning. Pat Buchanan transformed conservative American politics way back in the 1990s. Today, I think we often think of right-wing anti-globalism as racist and anti-migrant and nationalist but also oriented toward reviving the economic standing of the native working class.
