How to Evaluate Your Risk Free Rate
If the risk free rate at the time you're looking at it is above 6%, I'd use that rate. When it's below 6%, I never use less than 6%. And it's just a way of being conservative. You have to find areas where you do feel comfortable about those types of questions. A lot of a lot of investments should go in the too hard pile, especially if it's not your area of expertise.
