What Is a Species?
species are populations that have this restricted gean flow between them. So there's some sort of barrier that prevents it froma interbreeding with its parental species. Species names, the way linnaeus um set them out to have a genus name, like homo, and our species name is sapiens. Having those two words is very much like the kind of noun adjective structure of the english language. It comes very naturally to us to talk about things in that way. Most of darwin's books are about crossing plants. And he was very clear that out crossing, so crossing not with yourself,. Because plants have a plant which has both male and female parts.
