The Power of Prayer
I was working as a chaplain for a while after I retired from running a treatment center and we still do a lot of fifth steps with the guys. And this one tough guy, you know, he's getting ready to do his third step. He said, well, should I read it from the book? You know, I really wish you wouldn't. We get down on our knees. I think there's some power in that too. What he said was, I said, put it in your own words. And he said, God, I've really effed up my life. Please help me.
