The Importance of Vocabulary in English

William: The first thing where we see sort of...so he ended up importing a lot of semantic stuff from English. He has the three singular split into quichey and it. And then no split in the plural. So, that's exactly English. Unfortunately, not always, but many, much of the vocabulary is defined by single word English glosses. That ends up being an issue. Well, again, you know, that may be an artifact of how the book is written. There are other pieces of vocabulary which are clearly he had devoted much loving attention to and are not like English in any way at all.
