Gorbichov said that he would not use the army against east europeans. Oaslage: For east germans, this was an enormous liberation and it changed the whole dynamic. The energy of personal mutiny is what i think gorbicho understood - we can't suppress our peoples all the time. That's basely what gorbichov was all about.
