Modernism and the Industrial Revolution

Modernism refers to the era of modernism, which is from about 18 50 to 19 50. It's respits, society's intellectual response and cultural response to the industrial revolution. So by 18 50, humans were like, holy fok. We can create an ideal society, if we just figure out the rules. This really optimistic idea. And i was scratching my head a bit thinking, what what? What folks going on in the latter part of the 18 hundreds that has people thinking like this?"
