The general way that OCD works is that you have an obsessive thought. And then you feel this urge to compulse on that obsessive thought. It can look like you overthinking a scenario, trying to get to the exact bottom of a memory. Or it could be you sitting on your phone, like trying to search answers for hours and hours. The best way to deal with it was going to therapy and doing exposure therapy. That mixed with some really good drugs that helped with my OCD really helped me get on top of it.
