The Cost of Over Intellectualizing
When you distract yourself from emotional pain, your distress goes down. The orientation is not that you're being victimized by your feelings. It's that you are building a capacity to be with so much wider a range of internal experiences. That does feel very motivating to me. Cool. Hopefully other people find it helpful as well.
