The Secret Sauce of Mindfulness
i think often people think of mindfulness as controlling attention. And for example, my teacher here, bante, describes it as reme bring to observe how mind's attention moves. We definitely want to be able to ah use our flashlight skilfully, but we also need to know where the hecket is. Some would say both focus and open monitoring our part of mindfulness. Others might say that the secret sauce of mindfulness is just this observation. All stanson, i'm sort of agnostic about what those debates are. What i would say is that both are very useful, extremely useful.
