Is Everything in the Songs All About Me?

I was in a band for years with some, with one of my favourite songwriters I've ever met. He's kind of this like drunk Jewish guy who I still in contact with. And he was 10 years older than me. But their songs were so good, I kind of stopped me from writing,. because everything I wrote was just was terrible compared to his songs. They're also characters. So I can't say everything is in the songs is all completely me. It's not, you know, I'm not that cool. And I've never been that interesting. Some of it's true. Yeah.
