Tana williams clawson, director of the urok tribe's wild life department, says that california condors have great cultural significance for her people. "Our relationship with condor specifically ties to our role as world renewal people," she says. The Uroch tribe has spent 13 years working to bring the critically endangered species back to their tribal territory and the pacific northwest at large.
