Three Kinds of Discipline

There's three types of discernment, really. There's like the Gideon fleece situation; there is wisdom in the council of many so inviting community to discern with you. And then there's Ignatian discernment, which is about inviting God to move your heart in a particular direction over a period of time as you hold a question before him day in and day out. So we did all three, you know, we were trying to operate by all three. We had this one trip to Portland where the day that we were going to leave either that night or the following morning, I felt God speaking me through the scripture.
