The Importance of Women in the 18th Century

Most pornography was written anonymously and authors would go to great lengths to keep their names off the fiction. Author John Cleveland who wrote Fanny Hill, which is kind of the big quote unquote hardcore, um, pornographic novel published in 1749 that remained famous ever since. Even in a mainstream philosophical text, there's this quasi-anatomical, quasi-erotic way of making genitals like the center of that argument.
