The Effects of the Tax Exclusion on the US Health Sector

The tax exclusion from employer sponsored health insurance has distorted the US health sector. It penalizes you unless your employer control some portion of your income and use it to purchase a health insurance policy that is tied to your job. So if you start working for an employer and stay with that employer on the day you die, then you will have seamless health insurance. But that wasn't really the case for most of the 20th century, and it certainly isn't now.
