I'd Rather Be an Ivy League Professor Than Vice Versa
With the internet and Zoom, you can really have colleagues and friends who are extremely geographically remote. So it would have been quite handicapping to be a psychology professor anywhere other than New York, Boston or maybe the Bay Area until quite recently. But now it doesn't really matter where you are physically as much. I find myself able to run my research lab and even a startup almost remotely. So that's definitely a new era.
