Omar was on a boat from Turkey to Greece. He and his fellow migrants were trying not to go to lesbos, the Greek island of Lesvos. They wanted to avoid moria, which is known for being an open-air prison where asylum seekers couldn't leave. But when they asked their smuggler not to send them there, he told them that's what would happen. Omar had never been in a boat before but found it 'quite concerning' The book will be published by Simon & Schuster next month.
