As often as possible, grace tried to resolve her clients needs out of court. She focused on hiring and training other women to work with her. Her clients were mostly poor people and em ance. Since she already had this independent income, she didn't really have to charge very much. Grace became known by a number of nicknames, including sister mother and portia of the east side.
