Crete Languages - The True Creetons
Ancient Greeks called the people of the eastern Crete mountains ateo-creetons or true creetons. Historian to believe this language may have been the same as that written in Linear A, the Minoan language,. These people who used to use Linear A to write things down were now using Greek alphabet but in their own languages and not in Greek. It does seem likely that they were the remnants of Minoan culture because many of the artifacts are clearly Minoan.
