The Difference Between System One and System Two

There are two basically different ways of reaching ideas. Some ideas come to you effortlessly and others have to be constructed. The word system is often used and as we use it, it's an agent. And there is a real prohibition in psychology that you internalize early as a psychologist. You don't explain the behavior of a person by the behavior of little persons where inside that person's head. That's called a monkey lie. But thinking fast and slow, I deliberately broke that taboo. It's very good to think about that way. Not that I believe there are really two agents in the mind. I don't. Even the word system is not applicable and it's more of a continuum
