The continent itself has been divided into linguistic regions. Much of the work that is done by different people and philosophers who belong to different linguistic regions hardly gets to be read by others from a different region. So those works remain like a debate only among French speaking philosophers, African philosophers,. And then there is a debate among English speaking African philosophers. But until we make transmission part of the philosophical project in Africa, we will find it still difficult to dialogue among ourselves.
