I didn't know what i was doing when i started. Thought i was deafly in the penumbra. I just knew i wanted to write a play about this profound experience i had as a teen age girl, giving these speeches about the constitution for scholarship money. As soon as i began working on it seriously, it sort of led me down this road that i did not expect to take. And i think i also wanted just say, as somebody who would sit in the audience, just surrounded by young women who werei think, right on that seam hide that you were exploring, which is, i love the constitution.
