The Sutton Hoo Ship Burial
This chapter focuses on the excavation of the Sutton Hoo ship burial in July 1939, just before the outbreak of the Second World War. Archaeologists from different places are brought in to help with the excavation, realizing the potential importance of the site. Peggy Piggett, one of the archaeologists, discovers the first piece of jewelry, which sparks great excitement. As the days go by, more and more valuable items are found in the burial chamber.
