When I was in Italy, I bought my mum a souvenir from a shop. A wooden spoon that had standards design of a spoon. But on the end where there's normally just the handle, there's another like bowl. And then in between it is this groove that's been cut into the wood. What you're meant to do is so that if you're making a soup, you get the bit of the soup that you want to taste to take if it's good. You can tip it and then it will go down that little river in the middle of the groove and it will go into the other way. It's genius. So I thought, ah, my mum's going
