The Vedic Prescription for Desire

This idea that these statements and the Vedas are authorless, what does that even mean? I mean where do they come from if they have no author? Well, this is really really an important part which makes me answer so much different than our sort of Christian-influenced word view. They do not believe about the fact that the word had an origin. So a Vedic prescription would be almost something more like a moral prescription. It doesn't come from anywhere. It's just a rule that you have to obey.
