Row Level Locks
All right, so now we talked about table locks, it's time to talk about row level locks. There are four types of row level locks that can be obtained explicitly or implicitly by updates and deletes. Some locks can block other riders and other locals, but doesn't necessarily block other readers. So soft updates, if you will, and hard updates that can cause ramifications. And as long as I can read, I can write and ro share what the heck is ro share again?
