Walter Benjamin and the Age of Technical Reproducibility

There is nothing that we talk about that doesn't send you down a rabbit hole of research. I'm just saying that he has a book which deals with the beginning of a movable type and then which quickly morphs into newspapers. The powers that be, including the state religion and the wizards who admittedly we don't have to worry about, they're concerned about it. They're keeping a watchful eye on it, but they realize that they can't roll it back. It got me thinking about the whole question of the work of art in the age of technical reproduced objects.
