How I Moved to Austin and Become a Filmmaker
"I felt I had kind of squandered a number of years playing, you know, just sports or not taking things too seriously," he says. "Once I just turned it there, I did that." He moved to Austin after leaving school and starting work on an oil rig. The filmmaker now lives in Houston with his wife and two children.
